Title
Vývoj plazmového hořáku pro termochemickou konverzi vstupních materiálů na plyn s vysokou koncentrací vodíku
Code
TK05020042
Summary
The aim of the project is to develop an arc plasma generator designed for thermochemical conversion of a wide range of input materials (including various types of waste) to a high hydrogen content gas (more than 50% can be expected, but it also depends on composition of the input materials). For this purpose, several plasmatrons will be developed to achieve the highest possible efficiencies, differing in operating parameters (power - devices with power of 50kW and 100kW will be developed, amount of plasma produced, chemical composition of plasma, outburst temperature, carrier gas mixtures and other parameters). The presumed medium usable as a carrier gas will be a water steam, or a mix of water steam and inert gas (argon). Individual types of developed plasmatrons will be tested, then the most suitable one will be selected on the basis of operating parameters (see above). Although the use of steam will reduce the operating temperatures of the plasma produced, it will also lead to a significant increase in the H2/CO ratio in the resulting synthesis gas. In order to achieve a sufficient operating temperature even when using steam as a carrier gas, its negative effect will be largely eliminated by preheating the steam.
