Art & Science: An event combining the creative side of youth with science and technology

Doing science is an art. And art is sometimes pretty science.

The festival combines the best of both worlds. Technical disciplines and research naturally intertwine with art. Whether in the form of guided demonstrations, hands-on workshops, competitions, exhibitions, concerts or workshops. Every year, all eight faculties of the university and the research centres open their doors to the public and show that science can be not only important, but also fun and inspiring.

Every year, the centres under the CEET VŠB-TUO participate in the festival:

Who is the event for?
We focus mainly on high school students who can get a glimpse into the world of science in a completely unconventional way through experiments, experiences, personal encounters with researchers and creators. However, primary school students and university students can also enjoy. There is something for everyone thanks to the varied programme.

The festival is an ideal place for anyone looking for inspiration, wanting to learn how the world around us works, or perhaps deciding on future studies and career.
Art and Science is not just about science. It is an experience. It offers the chance to try out technology with your hands, experience cutting-edge research up close, while being drawn into a world of art, creativity and the shared joy of discovery.
