The meeting was attended by experts from the Faculty of Safety Engineering, including Pavel Danihelka, Vojtěch Jankůj and Aleš Bernatík, along with representatives from the Energy Research Centere CEET, including Karel Borovec, Jan Vereš, Jan Skřínský, and Jan Koloničný. The key guest was Ernesto Salzano, the lead researcher at CESAR. The discussion focused on establishing future collaboration aimed at creating a strong platform dedicated to key topics such as explosion protection, fire safety, risk analysis, crisis management, ecology, and environmental issues.
“We are currently looking for new projects to engage in, and collaboration with VSB-TUO and CEET could be the right impulse. I believe that the Czech Republic is one of the countries with the potential to secure the necessary resources to fund important projects in the field of alternative energy sources,” said Ernesto Salzano, lead researcher at CESAR, who is also involved in the REFRESH project.
Cooperation between the Faculty of Safety Engineering, CEET, and CESAR could bring significant results in the form of innovative solutions and improvements in safety standards, which would benefit not only academic and research institutions but also the broader professional community and the industrial sector.
