A meeting of experts at the Moravian-Silesian regional office on the topic: Hydrogen
On Wednesday, 14 June 2023, an important meeting of experts took place at the office of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Its main topic was hydrogen.

Representatives of the Moravian-Silesian Region and Prof. Stanislav Mišák, Director of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies (CEET), presented to the partners from the Silesian Region, Poland and Žilina Self-Governing Region, Slovakia.their visions, plans and current projects related to hydrogen technology and its utilisation

Participants of the meeting got acquainted with the currently prepared Strategy for the Development of Hydrogen Technologies in our region, and visited also the first hydrogen filling station in the Czech Republic, located on the DOV premises (Dolní Oblast Vítkovice).

Within the consequent visit of CEET, located in the Poruba campus of VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, our foreign partners got acquainted with research focused on hydrogen technologies. CEET research lab specialists presented them various developed methods of hydrogen production and its conversion from different materials into a fuel of the future.

The meeting was held in a very constructive but above all friendly spirit with the aim of finding new opportunities for development of ideas and cross-border projects. All participants agreed on the conditions for deepening mutual cooperation between institutions and companies in all three regions. They also emphasized the need for sharing information and best practices in the field of hydrogen technology application.

The next joint meeting is scheduled for September this year in Rybnik, Poland. This meeting will be particularly festive as a launch of operation of a hydrogen filling station is scheduled. Thanks to this new infrastructure, the Silesian Region will become one of the Polish regions with a basic hydrogen infrastructure.
