Summary

The chief goal of this project proposal is the development of a novel catalytic substance, being a key active component in the process of synthesis of alcohols with low carbon number (methanol/ethanol). Fundamental idea is the utilisation of atmospheric CO2 and green H2 in the catalytic synthesis, being a tool for increasing the decarbonisation rate of energy and industry sectors. The research goal is the definition of the suitable composition and configuration of the catalyst based on available and non-toxic material resources (Cu, Zn, Cr, Mn, K, Mg), as well as to determine the optimal operation conditions (physical and technical conditions) for maximisation of the mentioned final product yield.
