What is Building energy performance certificate (EUI)?
Building energy performance certificate is used for simple and clear evaluation of a building as to consumption of energy (for heating, cooling, ventilation, hot water preparation and lighting). It is prepared by us in accordance with Decree No. 78/2013 Coll.
When it is necessary to prepare The Energy performance certificate (EUI)?
The obligation to prepare the building energy performance certificate is stipulated by Act No. 406/2006 Coll. on Energy Management and Act No. 103/2015 Amending Act No. 406/2000 Coll., on Energy Management, as amended. A builder, building owner or home owners association is obliged to acquire the building energy performance certificate in the following cases:
- Construction of new building or major modification of completed building
- Building with total energy-related area exceeding 250 m2 used by a public authority (since 1 July, 2015)
- Sale of building or part of building
- Rental of building or part of building
The builders, building owners or home owners associations are obliged to notify the ministry of the building energy performance certificate preparation by a qualified person (and present the qualified person’s certificate), submit the building energy performance certificate to the ministry or State Energy Inspection upon request and, in case of obligation incurred, post the building energy performance certificate in the building in accordance with the implementing legal regulation.
