72-o-produktu-sunnyguard

SunnyGuard product is a simple software tool for monitoring of photovoltaic power plants which is accompanied by a number of other items. The SunnyGuard package contains: .=

  • Monitoring centre operated 365 days a year
  • Dedicated SunnyGuard software in control room established at the Energy Research Centre
  • Evaluation and reporting for you and your insurance company as well as consultancy
  • Additional services such as thermovision measurement, volt-ampere characteristics

SunnyGuard is designed for those who wish to:

  • eliminate losses at power plant;
  • have the power plant supervised by an independent professional agency;
  • be kept informed on the power plant condition.

Photovoltaic power plant owners

  • minimize losses through SunnyGuard system introduction;
  • can use on-line views of power plant condition, main alarms and operating log-book;
  • can use historical summaries and reporting;
  • can easily control the service.

Service engineers and technicians

  • improve efficiency of their work;
  • can use on-line views of power plant condition, main alarms and reports.

Why monitor photovoltaic power plant operation using the Energy Research Centre control room?

1) We are independent

  1. We are a university facility under the umbrella of VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava.
  2. We are not providers of construction works or equipment; we do not want to hide failures and falsify data. In case of any failure we shall calculate the losses recoverable from the insurance company.
  3. We build on our expertise and experience.

2) We have software tool research and development capacities

  1. SunnyGuard system was developed in the Energy Research Centre.
  2. It is upgraded from time to time based on findings from the monitored data and experience.
  3. Our high expertise in this field enables us to make advanced analyses and search for failure relations and causes.

3) We are transparent and provide information

  1. The work of operators is logged.
  2. The progress of failure elimination by the service team and the power plant operating log book can be monitored on internet.
  3. All data can be exported to you, if required.

Introduction and operation procedure

SunnyGuard system works in a simple way. SunnyGuard connects to the existing power plant system and transmits data from:

  • panel strings;
  • converters;
  • electricity meters;
  • sensors (exposure, panel temperature, ambient temperature);
  • protection elements.

The monitoring does not require connection to all sensors. The data from the systems flows automatically to SunnyGuard located in the Energy Research Centre monitoring centre where the following tasks are performed by the control room operators:

  • Power plant monitoring and identification of losses
  • Responding to alarms and error messages from converters
  • Communication with service team, recording of the progress of failure elimination by the service team
  • Search for failure relations and causes
  • Keeping of operating log-book where failure causes are recorded
  • Preparation of reports from power plant
  • Consultancy
  • Communication with internet providers (to arrange for internet recovery)
