What is the calorimetric chamber?
The calorimetric chamber is used to determine the operating parameters of local appliances burning solid fuels (wood stove, storage fireplaces, stoves, individually built stoves, etc.), In particular to determine the course of thermal power equipment in the range of 0–20 kW.
The principle of measurement in the calorimeter chamber
The calorimetric chamber is insulated space, in which the test oven are placed. The measuring principle consists on supply of known quantity of cold air into the chamber, while the chamber is evacuated and the heated air on the basis of the heat. According to heat balance, the instantaneous heat power appliance is calculated. The airflow chamber is maintained constant by means of the PID controller and frequency-controlled fan. The inner surface of the calorimeter chamber is covered with reflective foil, which minimizes the accumulation of thermal energy into the structure of the chamber.
