Summary
The goal of the project is the optimization of alternative, renewable solid fuels with the aim of reducing emissions of particulate matter (PM) during combustion. Specifically, it should be pellets intended for burning in automatic pellet boilers. The main directions of the research will be: 1. Research into the influence of the mechanical properties of pellets on produced emissions 2. Additives of pellets in order to reduce PM emissions during combustion. The core part of the project will be research into the influence of selected pellet parameters on the resulting PM emissions and determining the critical values of these parameters for selected biofuels in combination with research on the addition of biopellets.
