Summary
The project focuses on the development of a modular system for hydrogen production, storage, and distribution. The core technology involves methanol reforming combined with carbon capture, enabling efficient and low-carbon production of so-called blue hydrogen with simplified logistics.
The project also includes the development of portable metal hydride-based storage units and the modernization of an existing refueling station to allow flexible filling at 350 and 700 bar pressures. In parallel, a comprehensive safety framework will be established in accordance with international standards. The project is being carried out by an international consortium from the Czech Republic and Taiwan, aiming to support safe and practical hydrogen use in transportation and energy sectors in line with climate goals.
