Summary
The project has two main objectives: A: Creation of methodological instructions for rock sampling and their laboratory analysis approved by the governmental authority aiming at monitoring potential contamination of the environment by asbestos not only during excavation operations and processing of rocks in quarries, but also during tunnelling and cutting for line structures in order to eliminate negative effects on the environment including human health. B: Creation of information tools – i.e. specialised map of areas of potential asbestos exposure and web-based portal of asbestos-giving users access to basic information about asbestos in rocks.
