Battery development and testing on internship in Turkey

Battery development and testing on internship in Turkey
CNT scientists, as well as PhD students in nanotechnology study program, are working with their colleagues in Turkey to develop safer battery prototypes.

The long-term cooperation of the  Nanotechnology Center, CEET VŠB-TUO with Sakarya University in Turkey continues by involving scientists in the Refresh – EnergyLab project. Currently, three students of the doctoral study program Nanotechnology are completing an internship at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Sakarya University, precisely at the Li-battery research center LIPGUM. Lukáš Plesník, Vít Kubáň and Sajjan Sathish participate in the research of parts of all-solid state batteries and mainly in their testing.

Students Gražyna Simha Martynková and Karla Čech Barabaszová have the opportunity to work in the international environment of T. Cetinkay's laboratory and thus obtain results for their dissertations. Research is currently underway on a unique battery separator and solid electrolyte prepared in part from sustainable materials.

By involving scientists from the LIPGUM center in research at the Center for Nanotechnology, an important part of the research will be strengthened, namely the testing of batteries for the development of safer prototypes.
