Research into the preparation of composite mixtures from industrial wastes for use in surface treatment and emission reduction

Summary
The project is focused on the comprehensive use of fine-grained waste materials and aims to propose and verify their use as powder or shape and size defined materials as secondary raw materials. The powdered waste materials will be used for the preparation of thin films using hot spraying to increase the corrosion and abrasion resistance of the structural steels. Previously non-recyclable wastes will be used for the preparation of forging mixtures to reduce environmental impacts and emissions from thermal processes and environmental technologies. Compact sorbents will be prepared from the composite waste mixtures to support the removal of volatile organic hydrocarbons in thermal processes and technologies using sorbent materials to reduce gaseous emissions.
