Summary
The aim of the project is to remove potentially carcinogenic cobalt and minimize the nickel content (hazardous to the
environment) from the most commonly provided phosphate bath concentrates for commonly used pretreatment of
steel surfaces prior to the application of organic coatings (coating systems).
A follow-up objective will be the development of a complex corrosion protection unit (conversion coating -
organosilane coating system) for surface treatment, leading to an increase in the service life of steel components of
transport infrastructure, while reducing the environmental impact.
