How can new technologies and AI be applied in real-world settings? A workshop will provide the answers

The event will connect the worlds of science and industry with the shared goal of exploring how to implement the latest technologies quickly and efficiently. Registration is now open.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers, and business leaders to explore how innovations in single-atom engineering and AI can reshape industrial applications. We aim to inspire participants to adopt these technologies, accelerate the transfer of research findings into practical use, and foster collaborations that enhance industrial competitiveness and help companies become leaders in their sectors,” said Michal Otyepka on behalf of the organizers. The event is jointly organized by CATEN (Center for Advanced Technologies and Engineering), the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center, and the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center at VSB-TUO.

Experts from leading Czech institutions — including CATEN, CATRIN at Palacky University, the Center for Energy and Environmental Technologies, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and IT4Innovations at VSB-TUO — will present their cutting-edge research. The program will highlight advances in atomically precise manufacturing - designing materials for catalysis, biomedicine, and (bio)sensing, along with breakthroughs in computational materials design powered by machine learning and AI. Applications of AI and machine learning in chemistry, plant science, and advanced manufacturing will also be explored.

The workshop is held in collaboration with the following projects REFRESH, TECHSCALE, INTERVIR, MERGE, LUMI AI Factory, and EDIH Ostrava. The full program and registration form are available here.
