TA CR Day is an annual flagship event organized by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) to highlight the importance of research and innovation both domestically and globally. It celebrates some of the best applied research projects with significant societal and economic impact. The program consists of three parts — regional debates, a closing online conference, and a formal gala evening — all united under this year’s theme: the Green Deal.
Through the regional debates and the final conference featuring international speakers, TA CR aims to offer audiences a grounded and informed perspective on the Green Deal in both Czech and European contexts.
The expert portion of TA CR Day 2021 begins with a series of three online regional debates. Representatives of regional authorities, innovation platforms, universities, and companies will discuss current local topics specific to their regions. In the Ústí nad Labem Region, the focus will be on the use of hydrogen as a clean energy source of the future. The Moravian-Silesian Region will provide insights into the smart and safe perspectives of Czech energy. Experts from Central Bohemia will present urban transformations and innovations aimed at improving life in cities.
