Over the weekend, we participated for the second time in a row in the Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Transformation educational program organized by the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The aim of this program is to accelerate the development of hydrogen technologies through the education of future experts.
During the two-day training, more than 50 participants learned about the theoretical basics of hydrogen production and key safety issues related to its use.
The program also included a practical demonstration of research equipment and technologies: stands for sampling and monitoring H₂ purity, apparatus for testing hydrogen storage materials, unique explosion autoclaves, and systems for the production of synthetic fuels.
At the end of the program, participants tried driving a Toyota hydrogen car, learned about the "ten rules of a good heater," and saw (and heard) for themselves how hydrogen reacts in a controlled explosion.
