Summary
The project focuses on the development and validation of a modular technology for processing automotive shredder residue (ASR) with the aim of increasing material and energy recovery. The approach is based on systematic ASR characterization and the design of combined mechanical and physical separation steps to produce defined output fractions. The project will verify technological pathways for recovering secondary raw materials, particularly polymer and rubber fractions, and optionally alternative solid recovered fuels with modified properties. The solution will be tested at laboratory and pilot-relevant scale using real ASR samples. The main outcome will be a validated modular technology ready for industrial application.
