The research group is engaged in the latest technologies and directions of research and development, with a general focus on the best available energy conversion technologies, biomass gasification, production of liquid fuels of the second generation, technologies for waste heat recovery, and safety of systems, technologies, and materials. Moreover, the group concentrates on hydrogen energy and its complex safety and purity. It runs the Technology and Energy Safety Laboratory. The research focus of the department is dynamically changing according to the latest global and domestic trends.
