Summary
The present project is focused on the use of low-temperature plasma under the formation of micro-discharge and its environmental application with the aim of achieving the reduction of gaseous emissions of mainly organic substances, which are generated in the areas of industrial processes of the manufacturing industry. The solution is based on the design and optimization of the reactor structure, energy source and choice of materials, including the support and the appropriate type of catalyst. The design of the combination of the reactor shape and material solution with a suitable catalyst type will thus enable the decomposition and reduction of mainly volatile organic hydrocarbons (VOCs) with the achievement of the required concentration legislative limits at low energy consumption of the process. In addition, the preparation of the catalyst will make maximum use of waste raw materials. The objectives and procedures of the solution are fully in line with the nature of the entrepreneurial and research activities of the main bidder and the other participant, who have many years of experience in the development and application of micro-explosives for use in surface treatment and environmental applications.
