16. 2. 2026 News
The Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies of VSB-TUO, the Institute of Environmental Technology, in cooperation with the WSB Academy, is launching the initiative "SMART Partnership for Modern Information," aimed at creating a specialized platform for sharing information between two universities in the Czech-Polish border region. The initiative will support education and expand access to up-to-date information in technical and humanities fields.

The SMART Partnership for Modern Information / SMART Partnerstwo na rzecz nowoczesnej informacji (T.052.04.0061) project focuses on creating a professional partnership between VŠB-TUO and the WSB Academy, which will lead to the development of an electronic compendium. This compendium, covering ten thematic categories, will be accessible on websites and mobile devices. It will offer information in areas such as technology, healthcare, security, IT, and more. Every year, a new topic will be added to ensure its relevance and timeliness.

Key outputs include:

An electronic compendium, regularly updated, focused on ten thematic areas.

A website linked to the compendium, containing videos, photos, and materials from conferences and educational events.

Bilingual presentations to be showcased at conferences and other educational activities.

Two videos with the content "How We Contribute to the Modern Region – What Makes Us SMART," promoting the initiative and its goals.

The cooperation of two major universities, each with a different focus, will enable the creation of a comprehensive and rich information resource for the general public. The target groups include not only students and university staff but also the general public interested in expert information in technology, security, and other areas. This initiative will contribute to expanding access to new knowledge and support education in the Teschen Silesia region.

The project is supported by the Small Project Fund within the Interreg Czech Republic – Poland 2021-2027 Program, which fosters cross-border cooperation between the Czech Republic and Poland in the field of education and knowledge exchange.
