Summary
The project goal is to create an optimization system and a strategy for optimizing the operation of the electrical distribution system (DS). The control optimization system will consist of a program and an interface. The program will set various DS elements to optimize the DS operation in many ways (i.e., operation with minimal cost, with maximum reliability, ...). Optimal DS configuration will be achieved, for example, by changing network topology or controlling local active and reactive power sources. The interface will allow the proposed program to be included in the existing dispatching control structures of the DS. The optimization strategy will describe all the hardware and software innovations that need to be performed to maximize the DS management capabilities.
