Název projektu
Charakterizace znečištění ovzduší v Moravskoslezském kraji za použití jaderných a souvisejících analytických technik a GIS technologie
Předmět výzkumu
Air pollution is continuing to be of great concern in Czech Republic. The aim of the project is to characterize the origin of the particulate matter air pollution in Moravian-Silesian region. The research is based on analysis of air filters obtained by an unmanned airship monitoring system and moss biomonitors used for multi-element determination. Nuclear and related analytical techniques: instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) will be used for analyses. Geographic information system (GIS) and mathematical modelling will be used for interpretation of results. Never before such combination of methods was used for this purpose. The Czech team has experiences in GIS Technology for air pollution assessment in this most contaminated area of the Czech Republic. JINR team has an international recognition in air pollution studies by INAA at the reactor IBR-2 of FLNP. The expected results are of great national interest and allow the prolongation of TUO team participation in the UN program on air pollution in Europe (UNECE ICP Vegetation) in the frame of Convention on long-range transboundary air pollution (LRTAP).
