CEET Portfolio

CEET has a long-standing record of collaboration with the public sector and industry partners, primarily through joint research and development projects and contract research. Its unique infrastructure, comprising state-of-the-art instrumentation and equipment, provides researchers with the facilities and capacity to conduct research across four defined research areas and supports the effective transfer of methods and technologies from academia to commercial applications.

Cooperation with industry and the public sector accounts for more than half of the total external funding secured across the entire University. Selected examples below illustrate the scope of this cooperation.

Our Partners

Through contract research and jointly implemented research and development projects, we work closely not only with the public sector, but also with companies and industrial partners that rank among leading innovators in their respective fields. CEET connects academic know-how, experimental infrastructure and application-oriented research with the practical needs of industry.

Our activities focus primarily on modern energy systems, the decarbonisation of industrial processes, renewable and low-emission energy sources, hydrogen technologies, energy storage, energy flexibility, smart energy management, environmental technologies, advanced materials, and technologies supporting the circular economy. We provide our partners with expert support in technology development, testing, measurement, diagnostics and optimisation, as well as in the validation of new solutions under laboratory, pilot-scale and real-world conditions.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary expertise of CEET’s research teams, we are able to respond to the needs of companies across the energy, industrial, transport, construction and environmental sectors. Cooperation with industrial partners enables us to translate research results into practical applications, support technological innovation, and contribute to the transformation of industry towards greater energy efficiency, lower emissions and long-term sustainability.
