The laboratories of the Centre for Nanotechnology provide a wide range of services in chemical, structural, and phase analysis and materials testing. Our expertise focuses particularly on the analysis of materials and environmental components, including drinking, surface, ground, and waste waters, aqueous leachates, soils, waste, emissions, sediments, fuels, sludge, oils, building and silicate materials, spirits, industrial alcohol, and antifreeze mixtures. A significant area of our activity is the testing and characterisation of friction materials. The Centre for Nanotechnology has been active in analytical services for over twenty years, demonstrating a proven guarantee of quality and reliability in the results provided.

Drawing on our long-term experience and acquired expertise, we offer our clients consultations, interpretation of results, and expert opinions. Furthermore, we provide the development and implementation of new methods, encompassing complex solutions for specific issues related to both inorganic and organic materials according to client requirements.

The laboratories of the Centre for Nanotechnology have maintained a quality management system since 1997 and are currently accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (CAI) in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard. Within the scope of our accredited test methods, we collaborate closely with the laboratory of the Institute of Environmental Technologies (IET) at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, which has expanded our original range of analyses to include selected organic substances in emissions, immissions, and the working environment.

The laboratories have implemented a flexible scope of accreditation, which allows for the development of services within the range of accredited methods. Flexibility is also extended to clients regarding non-accredited methods based on their specific needs, as the laboratories offer non-accredited services in both chemical analysis and phase and structural analysis. Our staff applies the same level of rigour and commitment to these services as they do to our accredited methods.
