Applications for Industry and Municipalities

Energy efficiency and optimization of energy management

Research and design of measures leading to a reduction in the energy intensity of industrial operations, buildings, and municipal infrastructure.

Integration of renewable and alternative energy sources

Optimization of the use of photovoltaics, alternative fuels, waste heat, and other local or low-emission energy sources.

Hydrogen technologies and energy

Research and practical application of hydrogen technologies with a focus on their use in energy and industrial applications.

Safety of energy technologies and systems

Evaluation of the operational and technological safety of energy equipment and new energy technologies, and their implementation in industrial environments.

Environmental and economic assessment of energy solutions

Evaluation of energy projects in terms of economic efficiency, environmental impacts, greenhouse gas emissions, and long-term sustainability.

Description of the research group

The Applications for Industry and Municipalities research group is dedicated to the transfer of science and research into practice, focusing on energy savings and the optimization of energy utilization in individual facilities or buildings. Projects carried out by the research group specifically connect the economic and environmental aspects of optimizing the use of energy resources. Reducing energy consumption goes hand in hand with reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which directly contributes to the fight against climate change.
