Project title: Water-heating combination fireplace stove with an integrated MSPCM-based heat storage system

Registration number: CZ.01.01.01/01/24_063/0006122

Project duration: 2025 - 2028

Research focus: The project entitled "Water-heating combination fireplace stove with an integrated MSPCM-based heat storage system" is submitted under the "Applications - Call III - DEEP TECH -" of the Operational Programme Technologies and Applications for Competitiveness, the aim of which is to acquire new knowledge necessary for the development of new products, materials, technologies and services through the implementation of industrial research and experimental development projects. The project embodies a completely new idea of integrating MSPCM into a stationary combustion source for a combination of solid fuels - logs and wood pellets. As part of the implementation, the development of a new prototype of storage fireplace stoves with an integrated MSPCM storage unit is planned. The aim of the project is to create a new product that will be efficient, user-friendly and competitive on the heating equipment market. The storage fireplace stoves will offer several major advantages thanks to compliance with key European standards. These certifications not only ensure that the appliances are safe and energy-efficient, but also support an ecological approach to heating.

Project title: Comprehensive Hydrogen Safety in the Moravian-Silesian Region

Registration number: TK05010075

Project duration: 2023 - 2025

Research focus: The project focuses on the preparation of tools for comprehensive safety assurance in the use of hydrogen within the framework of technological development in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The solution will be implemented in parallel in the areas of safety and security. The outputs will be: a) standard safety specifications for individual technologies, covering both technical aspects and safety management systems, b) a business continuity management system (BCM according to ISO 22301) for the hydrogen infrastructure in the Moravian-Silesian Region (MSR). The foundation of the project methodology will be the analysis and confrontation of current global standards of hydrogen and infrastructure safety, their adaptation to the conditions of the MSR, the selection of the most suitable solution from the perspective of regional conditions, and application into specific procedures. A key output of the project will thus be safety standards, which will also be reflected in strategic and conceptual documents of the MSR.
