Project title: Innovative technology for cleaner Ostrava!!!

Research focus: The project aims to build on and deepen long-term cooperation between research organisations (VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, University of Ostrava) and seven partners from the application sphere (DEKONTA, a.s., Nano4people, s.r.o., RANIDO, s.r.o., BENEKOVterm, s.r.o., Veolia Energie ČR, a.s., RPG Recycling, s.r.o., Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre, a.s.). The subject of the cooperation will be the two-way transfer of information, knowledge and know-how within joint research focused on current environmental topics initiated by the aforementioned industrial partners.

Project title: Metal-organic framework (MOF) Profiling for Cutting-Edge Wastewater Treatment: Characterization and Performance Assessment

Research focus: The aim of the project is the development of advanced bimetallic photocatalysts based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and their application in photocatalytic wastewater treatment. The project focuses on the preparation, characterisation and optimisation of these materials, the verification of their efficiency in removing organic pollutants, pharmaceuticals and pesticides, and the design and testing of a novel photoreactor. The developed technologies will also be verified on real wastewater samples.

Project title: Innovative technology for eliminating ammonia emissions from waste air using photochemical oxidation

Research focus: The aim of the project is the research, development and application of innovative technology for cleaning ammonia-contaminated exhaust air using advanced oxidation processes, followed by its pilot-scale testing. The outcome will be a modular technology ready for industrial application.
