Summary
Friction composites in automotive industry are composed of several functional units; friction modificators, fillers and binders, reinforcing material. The aim is to create composite, which will fulfill all performance conditions. Clay minerals in resin bound composites can act as lubricant, due to layered character of material, and economy filler as well. Layered character will have effect on miscibility. Composition, properties and behaviour of wear particles will be studied.
