Title
Synthesis, structure and properties of nanocomposites conducting polymer/phyllosilicate.
Code
GAP108/11/1057
Summary
Project is focused on the development of novel photofunctional and electrofunctional materials based on nanocomposite - conducting polymer/phyllosilicate. Nanostructures with conducting polymers intercalated in the structure or anchored on the surface of phyllosilicates represent a great challenge for design of novel materials with interesting electrical and optical properties, utilizable in electrochemical sensors, optical switches, solid electrolytes, etc. Intercalation of polymer chains in the interlayer space of phyllosilicates will result in their arrangement, which is not available in the bulk polymer material and offers the possibility to modify the polymer properties in the crystal field in the interlayer space. Project will include the complex research starting from technology and molecular modeling of nanocomposites, their characterization using analytical, spectroscopic and diffraction method, AFM and SEM microscopy, to the testing of electrical and optical properties.
