Title
Advanced nanostructured fillers for polymer composites
Code
LH12184
Summary
The project proposed is focused on evaluation of application possibilities of composites based on the photoactive nanoparticles captured on the surface of selected carriers (i.e. phyllosilicates and graphite) as the advanced fillers for selected polymers. The aim of the project will be reached by set of the particular research tasks. Photoactive particles of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide will be captured on the kaolinite, montmorillonite (clay minerals carriers) and graphite. The group of clay/MexOy composites will be tested as the fillers for polyamide1010 and graphite/MexOy composites as the fillers for polypropylene. Obtained polymer composites with given filler will be evaluated for their resistance against degradation processes induced by thermal treatment and UV irradiation.
