Using of modified silicates and aluminosilicates as nanoreactors for organic reactions II

Summary
The proposed project continues on the previous project (SP2018 / 91) in investigating the hypothesis that catalytic activity as such contributes not only to the presence of active catalytic sites, whether on the surface or in the pores of the catalyst, but also to the overall environment of pores and other geometric cavities that the silicate structures offer, and can be considered as sui generis nanoreactors. The aim of the project is to identify and characterize such sites in natural and artificially prepared layered silicates using AFM, TEM, XRD, SEM, XPS and theoretical calculations, characterizing chemical connections that lead to their catalytic / nanoreactor activity. If necessary, detected areas specifically modify to be suitable for the selected nanoreactors organic reactions. Part of the objectives of the proposed project is to prove the functionality of such nanoreactors at least one other type of reaction beyond the previous projects (SP2018 / 91, SP2017 / 69), using experiments investigating catalytic activity and product distribution (by means of instrumentation LC / MS, GC / MS, NMR , IR and Raman spectrometry), and to report these results in the form of publications, conference papers at conferences, or short reports to specialist journals. Under this project, cooperate with the prof. Ing. Jiří Čejka, DrSc. (CUCAM Centre, Charles University) and RNDr. Alexandr Martaus, Ph. D. (IET, VŠB-TUO). Further, cooperate with Ing. Jan Nedoma, Ph. D. (Department of Telecommunications Engineering, FEI, VŠB-TUO), Ing. Vladimír Foldyna (Institute of Geonics of the CAS), and prof. Ing. Petr Martincem, CSc. (Institute of Geonics of the CAS). Timetable: January-May: Theoretical and practical preparation, writing of bachelor's theses (P. Grussmann, P. Golis) and diploma theses (L. Bravencová), selected tin-aluminosilicates or titanosilicates in the catalysis of organic reactions January-May: theoretical preparation, writing of bachelor's theses (J. Kozelská, Z. Nevřelová), catalysis of natural aluminosilicates with different active centres, their modification and application in potentially interesting organic reactions January-March: Preparation of the research part and work on experimental parts with catalysts based on natural aluminosilicates with different active centres (Sn, Al, Mg, Ni, Zr), preparation, characterization and testing of catalytic properties in selected organic reactions for planned publication March-June: Summary and writing of results, preparation of the publication September-December: testing of other types of reactions and observation of the catalytic activity of natural aluminosilicates after modification by active centres January-February: research work on the acylation reaction for the application of layered / lamellar zeolite types (in cooperation with CUCAM Center, Charles University) March-December: experimental part, acylation reaction in the presence of layered / lamellar types of zeolites January-December: Practical part of diploma thesis D. Spustová, oxidation of bulky molecules with double bonds by hydrogen peroxide on various types of titanosilicate catalysts (classical microporous structures, micro / mesoporous layered and pillar form) September-December: observing photocatalytic activity of different types of titanosilicates (search and practical part)
