CEETe II

Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies – EXPLORER II

Why

Thanks to the support of the R&D infrastructure, the unique CEETe II polygon will be created for the field of materials engineering, prioritizing materials for low-carbon, sustainable energy with a high applicability of outputs for practical use.

  • It focuses on providing resources and support for excellent research, innovation, and education in accordance with internationally recognized standards, and it fully meets the definition of research infrastructure under Article 26 of the GBER.
  • It aims to be an accelerator for the transfer of methods and technologies into practice in the field of modern materials and will be part of this unique, effective innovation ecosystem formed by representatives of research organizations, guaranteeing top-tier research that addresses issues based on societal demand.

How

  • The actual equipping of the center with instruments will not be part of the project, with the exception of permanently attached equipment (fume hoods, exhaust systems). Instrumentation will be acquired from REFRESH projects and cross-sectoral cooperation projects (DMS), or the laboratories will be supplemented with relevant instruments that meet research requirements and are already in the applicant's possession.

  • In accordance with the requirements of the call, the CEETe II polygon will primarily host applied research with a priority on achieving results at a higher Technology Readiness Level (TRL 6-9) in cooperation with individual representatives of the aforementioned unique innovation ecosystem. This means the research will be conducted by the Research Organization (RO) itself, acting as the bearer of research activities for current and future challenges, utilizing the sharing of know-how with other research teams at both national and international levels.
