Materials-Envi Lab focuses on the development of new carbon- and metal-based materials using materials chemistry, advanced deposition techniques and single atom engineering. Low-dimensional (2D, 1D, 0D) materials are created with the use of computational design allowing a precise control of their structural and physicochemical properties on an atomic level. New technologies are applied in solar energy conversion, solar cells, hydrogen production by the photochemical way, energy storage, heterogeneous catalysis, water treatment, and biomedicine.
