Technologies for Environmental Protection
The research group focuses on the development and research of measurement methods, equipment and technologies aimed at reducing the environmental impact of energy and industrial sources of air pollution, including the thermal utilisation of alternative fuels. It operates as an authorised testing laboratory for emission measurements in accordance with applicable legislation. Its activities are based on accredited procedures, including unique capabilities such as continuous analysis of gaseous mercury in emissions, continuous analysis of ammonia concentrations in ash, and continuous monitoring of hydrogen purity. The group also contributes to the development and validation of technologies for energy storage in the form of hydrogen and for CO₂ separation.
